Studying: An Aesthetic

Studywixing

In today's digital age, making aesthetics is made popular. It is being applied to mundane things like food, clothes, and even studying. These aesthetics show surely how creative millennials are. I can't still seem to fathom how studying is introduced as an aesthetic. What is this aesthetic in studying I keep on blabbering about? Well, one of the examples are pretty notes you see on social media sites like Tumblr and Instagram. For Tumblr, studyblr is used to describe the community who who post about all things studying, from notes and desk spaces to study techniques and highlighter suggestions. Studygram is pretty much the same with studyblr. The difference is the platform used which is Instagram. I guess this post is called studywix lmao.

An example of a studywix is the image you'll at the right part of this post. Why did I suddenly become creative in taking notes?

1) It motivates me to take notes which is a common requirement by our teachers because I just enjoy pretty stuffs.

2) It helps me in remembering lessons more. Another thing is that, it makes my notes more organized and easier to read.

3) It's a way to practice my calligraphy skills, because I can incorporate them with writing notes.

Who inspired me to do this stuff?

It's my friend Clarisse. Click through her name and check her blog. She's the real lodi (idol) in this studyblr-ing business. Here is a sample of her works:

Just look how she memorizes formulas in Science? The effort she puts in preparation for CETs is unrivaled. Projectile motion who?

States of goodness! She even coordinates the notes in one color.

Now, my motivation for studying has increased by thousands lol. Thanks Clar!

P.S: I'm sorry for the half - assed edits. I'm still in a daze after taking my first CET. To my ka - potentials, papasa tayo, tiwala lang!
